Info on port and polishing
I am looking to get a ported and polished D16z6 head for my car now and was wondering what the benfits of it are. I've seen some go on Ebay for like 400 dollars. Should I buy just an old head and send it somewhere and buy valves and stuff for it? I'm probably going to stay all motor for at least another year. oh yeah, would it be a good idea to get new rods when the head's off? Thanks guys!

No need to port and polish unless you have a cam, supercharger, or turbo.
What do you have done so far?

Re: Info on port and polishing (Spade)
So far, just the d16z6 swap with 100,000 miles, injen intake and full cat back exhaust. maybe i'll just buy a regular d16 head with lower miles and but a cam and camshaft on it while it's outside the car. I need to get a header sometime too.
