The thermo is on the inside of that piece? I'm looking for whatever goes inside what I circled and it has a sensor that connects to it.

I thought the thermostat sensor was under the dizzy?

Correct, your ThermoSTAT is located inside that housing. Where you have circled is where your ThermoSWITCH would go and would connect to your plug (from your harness).

the thing under the distributor is the coolant temp sender that sends a signal to your water temp gauge. The sensor in the housing you are asking about is the temp switch that activates the radiator fan.

the small plug under the dizzy is for your guage cluster and does nothing but send signals to the cluster.. trust me i know i did a rhd swap and had to wire all the guages sensors to the ecu since the harness was a big pos
