It will loose power in NA mode, but it will be all good with the turbo. If you're gonna install a turbo later do the 3".

With the 3" on a stock B16 the exhaust will not provide any backpressure, therefore you will be losing power. But if you plan on going boost soon then have fun with it!

Leave the stock exhaust. Then buy the exhaust when it's turbo time. Loud = IMO

It will have plenty of backpressure, he's not changing the header.

IMO, don't buy it now. You will go through a lot of money to make it fit on your cat and on your header, then you'll have to spend more to fab it onto a flex pipe and 3" DP when you go turbo.

Save your pennies for the turbo first, then just run open DP till you get an exhaust.

Open dump means you dont run an exhaust at all...the exhuast just dumps out of the downpipe ie open dump.

you should just wait to get the turbo then get the 3inch at the same time as when you put the turbo in. youd save some money.

arite, i'll take your guys advice. Well, the only reason i wanted to change my exhaust was becuase i bought the Si with a N1 exhaust, but that dam thing was rusting and had a hole, so i tore out the entire thing and put in complete stock one in. I had it done at sum mexican shop for a hundred bux, they put new piping . muffler, cat. ect. Im gettin really annoyd at it because it has no low end power. Like when i downshift, it feels like the dam thing wants to explode. so im just really irritated. I will definitely wait on the HKS, but for now. what you guys recommend? i was going to get a magna flow muffler only, but thats like a $100, hmmm. any suggestions? and yes i do have a DC header on my engine with CAI. sorry did'nt mention that earlier. Thanx for the post fellas.

dude i would stick with a stock muffler with a 2 1/4 straight pipe. bannncheeeee!

You lost torque buying that huge muffler but you did gain horse power. Since you have a 1.6 you need all the torque you can get. I mean it's only a 1.6...

If you were going turbo 3" is ideal. But for a stock B16 2.25 or 2.50 is better.

I have a turbo b16 with 3" exhaust. It's not loud, seriously it sounds really good though.
