I'm looking for $2000 winter car, what should I buy?
I'm looking for $2000 winter car, what should I buy?
I need a winter car, I want to spend about about $1800-2300 on it. I would like to find something that's also a little fun.
I'm thinking about the following cars:
A) 1990-1994+ Honda Civic
B) 1990 or newer Acura Intergra
C) 1988 or newer Acura Legand that fits in this price range
Should I avoid buying anyone of these cars for any Well-Known Durability problems?
A lot of these cars have a lot of miles....What's TOO many miles?
Any other sugestions or ideas?
Thanks!

well for winter dun buy an early 90's Integra cause the 2nd or 3rd owners were prolly "Fast and Furious" race'as y0! Yea but the teeny-boppers prolly raced them a lot by now. I would go for the legend.

not slam imports or anything because they are the ****, i have one, but for the winter get a chevy truck or blazer, find the cheapest one for the money and i twill run strong, ive got a 94 full size z71 and its got 160,000 miles pluse on that and all we have to do is change the oil, this is only my thoughts on this. Just saying for duribility, i would get a chevy, very depentable, and great in winer.

I have a Chevy S-10 Blazer Tahoe Edition from 1991, has over 250,000 miles on it and it still runs strong, just ripped a small tree stump out with it the other day, it is my daily driver too. Only things replaced, are water pump, and the radiator, which is getting replaced right now. Not to bad after 250,000 miles!

buy a first gen awd dsm, you can have some serious fun with those and they have good winter weather traction. they can be found for relatively cheap http://www.dsmtrader.com

if you're looking for a reliable beater...DON'T buy a ford!!!!! lowest quality vehicle ever produced if you ask me. one problem after another...daily! i hate my ******* escort, it has 60,000 ORIGINAL miles (babied by my mom) and it's about to die.
i'd get the Legend if you can or an 86-89 Accord. both very very nice cars imo.

I like Hondas and Acuras and everything but for a winter car, i would much rather have some sort of all wheel drive suburu or DSM...My friend had a 91 Eclipse with a BIgger BOV and a boost controller and that thign was great in the snow...
