Default im gettin a swap in 2 days please read i need help

im going with either the b18c (gsr) or the h22a. its for my 94 civic dx coupe. th edifference in price is only 100 bucks.

im leaning towards h22 becuase of the power and tourque but i remeber reading sumwhere o hear that the trannys have problems shifting an whatever else.

can u guys let me know if uve drove one and how it was or knew sumone with it and if the tranny had any problems. since im spending alot of money i wanna know.

what swap wouold u guys go for .

its a DD and wekend warrior at the drag strip. tia

With the aftermarket support booming for the h22 I would go with that. Go with the h2b and have fun.

only problem ive heard with the h22 tranny is that those trannys were made to haul heavy cars, so when you stick them in a lighter car (i.e. hatch, or coupe) it feels sluggish because the car is so light. not sure if its a true statement, ive never owned a h22, but thats just what ive heard, and read.

if you aren't gonna h2b then go with the gsr.....the only way i ever give an h-series swap credit is if it's an h2b....because i just don't think it's really worth it otherwise but that's just my opinion.

B series is a bolt in swap you can use the same mounts on the motor already. Hseries is gonna cost you extra for mounts more trouble mounting teh shifter its a PITA...

go B its cheaper and easier since i assume this is your first swap.

God u always post that he said she said crap. What u said just contridicts itself. If u put and engine that was made to haul a heavier car; in a lighter car ITS NOT gona make it "sluggish" like u said. That's just like saying if u put a b18b (from an teg wich is a heavier car) in a hatch its gona feel "sluggish". That doesn't sound right does it Mr. He said he she said? The reason you would ever feel like it takes forever to shift in an H-series motor with the H-series trans is because they have longer gears than the b-series transmissions. Thus why the H2B is so popular. Stop posting that he said she said bullshit on here! Or wait are you gona use the "oh my brother uses this SN too and post's rediculous bullshit on here" excuse again..?

id go with the h22 casue ive always wanted one but more relieble and user friendly is the gsr trust me with the gsr you wont be dissipointed

I know people who have H22 swaps, and I have a B18C swap. I know I can still get my hands in there to change belts and so forth, however the H is a tighter fit, making it harder to work on it......however, it is a more powerful engine, and the H2B conversion plate definetly adds potential to getting it....I have just always heard great things about the gsr motor, and that it takes a beating and keeps on truckin'. Regardless, both are great engines and will make your car much faster than it is now. Its a win win.
