Default Ignorant Exhaust Question

It seems like I heard that the exhaust ports on a Dseries are about the same as those on a Bseries. I'm trying to find out if this is true, because I would love to not have to buy another header after I swap my D for a B. Thanks for any info you can contribute.

D to B will not work. You'll have to buy another header for this setup

Doesn't match. You will need a new header.

If you want to know why, the port runners are spaced too far apart as well as the holes for the exhaust mani studs.

Any suggestions on a performance and cost effective header. I have an HP 2 piece header on my d16 now, does anyone know if the lower piece will bolt up to an upper piece from a different system?

You want to know if the 2-1 downpipe will work with another company's 4-2 manifold?

I wish I could help you, but I would have to take guess and say it would work as the bolts patterns are usually similar.
