Ignitor & ICM failed, aftermarket OK?

Ignitor & ICM failed, aftermarket OK?
I did a tune up and replaced the distributor cap, wires, rotor, plugs and did my valve cover gasket while I was at it. First start was golden but after about 30 seconds the car died, wouldn't start and ended up getting towed. They told me I need a ignition control module and coil replacement which I would like to do myself. They said only use Honda parts for these and I have read the same other places.
However I would like to save some money but not be foolish, I wanted to see what people thought. Could I go with an Autozone/eBay part or should I only get OEM parts?
Additionally, is replacing these as simple as videos make it to be, just disconnect the negative on the battery, remove the cap and replace the parts?
Do I need to time the car after or do anything special?

If your car is in time, you won't be moving the distributor so should still be in time with replacing those parts.
I personally would stick to OEM for them being most aftermarket parts for honda's tend to be garbage. Unless it's performance related with a performance price you usually don't get your money out of the parts before you are replacing them again.
You might spend a little more for OEM but it lasts at least 3 times as long if not more.
