Ignition Switch Swap (Pic)
Can i use a 94 ex coupe igniton switch, in my 95 CX HB? It includes everything, but the picture the guy sent me, looks like there is something different on it, it was from an Automatic, does that matter? The gold and white thing, and the black thing above it are the things that are not on mine...then again they could just be broken off when the bi0ch tried to break in...

Re: Ignition Switch Swap (xerox445)
Look at the 2 brown connectors on the ignition switch.
From this point of view: View from wire side. (looking where wires stick into brown connector, with locking tab facing up).
Wiring: Starting up on top, and going from left to right...
First connector:
black/yellow wire ---> yellow wire
white/black wire
Second connector:
blue/white wire ---> blue/white wire ---> white wire
black/white wire.
I hope this helps.
You can always unplug the 2 brown connectors from your fuse box, and compare the wiring this way.
But I'm 99% it will work.

Re: Ignition Switch Swap (xerox445)
I haven't seen the "The gold and white thing, and the black thing above it" on many 92-95 Civic Ignitions. I've seen only 3 up-close. Mine, and 2 JDM ones (which were different) that i sold.
And I've seen that white plastic thing on all 3 ignitions. But not as big, and I haven't seen that "gold thing" before.
But what i did was, un-plugged my 2 brown connectors from my fuse box to my O.E. ignition switch, and plugged in both of the JDM ignition switches, and attempted to start my car up. Both worked flawlessly.
So the gold box and other crap shouldn't effect anything. I would plug in the new ignition switch, and start the car up. If it starts up fine, then i wouldn't worry about anything else.
Just my $.02

it should work that white part is the piece that keeps the key in the ignition if your car is in gear on automatics. you can just take that off

Yep that means one key for the doors, and one key to start the car, just like GM.
