Hey what up honda tech.

I got a LS in my hatch the throw out bearing ate away at the pressure plate. Long story short I need a whole new clutch kit. I dont really have enough money for ACT and I want something better than stock. just that leave me with EXEDY. Anyways let me know what you guys think I should do.

i got the exedy oem replacement clutch with the F1 chromoly steel 8.5 lb flywheel off of ebay for $250 out the door. just finished my 500 mile break in and it feels great. i can feel it tach up quicker. pedal feel is the same as oem but feels like the clutch grabs a tad bit harder. I don't recommend going with F1 or the XTD clutch though. heard to many bad stories about them

ACT clutches hold power very well but are very poor in terms of driveability... So if you're not making gobs of power don't go that route. I would get a clutchmasters stage 1 or something like that...

And that is going to the track ALOT, running 10.70's

XTD, you can buy full kits with 7.5LB. flywheel for dirt cheap and they are pretty good man. Ive been thru act's, centerforce's, clutchnets, and this XTD on my daily driver holds up with the rest of them.

I've had excedys in my y8 and my gsr with good luck. About 40K on a stage I in the y8 and 13K on a excedy OEM in the gsr, and they still grab good.

I disagree on the driveability part. I had a act 6 puck and heavy duty pressure plate. If wasnt too bad, its just something you get used to. My clutch set was 329 off ebay the same seller is still selling the same exact stuff, its a great price. If your mostly stock thats a little over kill and you could just get a cheaper act.

btw do not get a lightweight flywheel unless you're going to be racing the car a lot. you can get the street lite versions but stay away from 7-9 pounds as the driveability sucks for daily.

i dissagree. i have a 8.5 lb in my daily driven eg and the only difference i felt is that it tachs up quicker(that's a good thing). if you go with something heavier like a 12lb, you'll be dissapointed because of the money spent and hardly feelin any difference from oem.

I agree....I have the ACT HD pressure plate and a 6-puck sprung disc....clutch operation is just heavier than stock, but still VERY SMOOTH!! Grabs awesome!

No chatter...nothing....just works awesome with my turbo.
