Idle problem...
I just got done with work(I work 10pm-5am) and I when I pulled into my apartment I noticed something wierd. My idle was at about 1400rpm, when it is usally at 800-900rpm when I get home from work, then it dropped from 1400rpm to just over 1000rpm and bounced back up to 1400rpm. My drive from work is only about 3-4 miles. This has never happened before that I know of. The car is '95 with a D16z6(I think thats the one, it's the stock motor), DC 4-2-1 header(and I think a bigger exhaust pipe all the way back) w/ a thermal can, aem cai, and I think that's all for mods.(I bought it like this) Now after I got home I went for a quick cruise to see if it just needed to be opened up a little and that didn't work, so I came back and shut if off. I then checked the air filter to make sure it was packed full of stuff, which it wasn't but did look a little dirty. I then proceeded to fire the car back up and it idled at about 1200rpm and I looked around at the motor for anything out of place, checked the filter again, then went back to the exhaust. When I was at the pipe every few seconds or so it would kind of pop, like when you shift in vtec or a really really weak back fire. If anyone knows where I should start that would be great. Thanks
