where should the iacv be located?

im pretty sure its the one u circled there with the question marks, im an OBD1 guy though, but thats looks similar to my IACV.

the one with the question marks has coolant in its pipes. is it the engine coolant temperature sensor (ect) ?

yeah there is supposed to be a coolant line hooked up to your IACV

Exactly. That is how your idle is regulated.
