IACV and FITV Suction
I've been having some idling troubles, so I decided to check the suction on the two holes in the throttle body like everyone's suggested. Here are my results:
There were two holes, one larger rectangular hole pointing towards the front of the car, and a smaller round one pointing more towards the passenger side of the car. After warming the car up good, I checked these holes. The larger rectangular hole had a LARGE amount of suction, and when I blocked it out with my finger the car really bogged and started to die, and would have died if I had've held my finger on there. The smaller round hole had a very slight bit of suction, nothing like the rectangular one, but still a little bit of suction.
I also tested the suction when I was on the throttle a bit. The rectangular hole still sucked like hell, and the round one sucked more as I got more on the throttle. Not sure if they're supposed to do this, so I just thought I'd note it. Also, as soon as the throttle was opened a little there was a loud sucking noise from the throttle plate. Again, I would think this is normal as air is supposed to be sucked into your throttle, but I'm just noting everything just in case. One more thing to note is that when trying to cover the larger rectangular hole, the inside of the throttle body was very hot and I almost burned a couple finger tips. The car had been driven for about fifteen minutes in town at lower speeds. Not sure if this is normal either.
So can anyone tell me where to go from here, which hole goes to what, etc? Thanks for any help.

Re: (andy_sayers)
on a y7 the IACV is toward the front of the car on the TB. it's got two small bypass hoses on it and a 3 pin connector. it's got a tan or grey cylinder on the side that the connector plugs into.
on the passenger side of the TB is a black solenoid which is part of the evap system. on the back towards the firewall is the map sensor.
from the old pics of my y7 manifold, that's all i can see.
