I think someone's trying to steal my car
I have a 00 hatch Cx and yesterday it I had to wiggle my key to get the door unlocked and turning the key still seemed rough, didn't think too much about it. Today I go out and both doors are unlocked and even if I forgot to lock them the last time I was in it only the driver would be left unlocked though I've NEVER forgotten. Car is parked in at an apartment building with a secured lot, with security guard and fenced in parking area. I think it's someone who lives here or their friend. What could they possibly be using to do this? (previously locked keys in car and cop + slim jim = no good) These are non powered locks too. Gonna stake out tonight with my 9 maybe I'll get lucky.
sorry for it being so long.

Thinking they were testing the car and pretty sure they know it doesn't have an alarm. Being smart I put a kill switch in the first day I got it and always use it. Not sure if they tried to start it and nothing was stolen and I doubt they would be able to tow it without getting stopped by security.

sometimes other honda keys open other hondas because keys are so similar.......i recomend keyless entry to your car and put the rear door handles out of 4dr(no key holes) and call it a day.....but if u really dnt want ur car to get stolen get a kill switch.
good luck.

That's true, but he said it was hard to move the cylinder. Typically when you can use a key on another cylinder it works easily. Jigglers require more effort and force, sometimes causing binding in the cylinder afterwards.
Oh, and a kill switch won't prevent a car from being stolen.

Since your in Hawaii you better call McGarrett at 5-0.....seriously though, I hope you get them. Leave the piece in your house , it'll only get you into too much trouble, the thought of honda revenge is nice even so.

reading is key. he put a kill switch in the day he got it or whatever. but good suggestions otherwise!
OP: def. do a stake out, and dont even bring the "nine". If anything, you'd get in trouble for shooting him. In canada a guy got charged for hitting a thief in the face and like knocked him out or killed him or something because he was protecting his car. thats not the point. the point is, dont shoot anyone! perhaps its some drunk who thinks your car is his, gets in, and goes,*while slurring his words* "oh dang nabbit, not my car!" , and then hops out the passenger side door. that, or someone is trying to steal it. I'd inform the security guard about it to keep an eye or for any suspicious activity.

BTW the gun's fake but looks real enough to scare the **** outta anyone, I always messing with my friends. Figure I can scare him for good so he'll never come back if the 5-0 doesn't arrive in time.

Or look real enough to get yourself shot. Be careful. Rule of thumb, never pull a gun unless you're going to use it. Because if you don't, they might.

Re: (92VXeg)
well i know here in WA even a fake gun can get you arrested... thats why i use my bow (yes i have a bow and arrow) and the last time they tried to break in to my car one of the guys got an arrow though his calf... and the 5-0 didnt press charges they were too busy laughing....
and on the plus side bows are real good at putting holes in radiators discreetly..... :D

i got a couple of friends that did that to their cars... looks clean too..
if you got tinted windows... just sit in the back of the car and wait for someone to scope it out.

Re: I think someone's trying to steal my car (Like Butter)
My friends think im crazy, If I feel iffy about parking somewhere i pull my kill switch, lock the brake pedal and lock up the steering column. I know its not impenetrable but i doubt anyone would go through that trouble to get my almost stock 96 civic and it helps me not worry about my car.
