i think i need to steal my own car.
last night...i went with some friends to go watch a movie, and i didnt want to drive so i left my car at my friends house. i put the alarm on, and put the keys in my pocket.
Turns out my pocket had a FAT hole in it. so at one point or another i lost my keys. i have spare keys but no spare alarm. So I think im going to have to steal my own car...im not sure if the alarm has an immobilizer, cuz i bought it with the alarm. it looks really old, and has a really sensitive shock sensor. but i still dont know if it has the immobilizer.
i have to take the car to a shop so i can get another alarm made. so just in case the car does have the immobilizer, how the hell can i get around it?

go to the brain of the alarm... you will see four wires coming out of the brain unclip it and your alarm system is now defeated... regardless of it going off...
now you know how easily the crooks steal our cars......

You can deactivate most alarms using the valet switch and your key. Usually, while the alarm is going off, you put you key in the ignition, turn it to the on position, then flip the valet switch on and off like 3 or 4 times and the alarm turns off.

well you only have to do it once if using the valet switch.....
thats the whole point of having the valet switch. if you loose your remote .. no alarm company will market it if you had to do it 3-4 times.....

You can also just use the key to get in and let the alarm go off. Pop the hood and loosen batter connection. Put the key in the ignition and turn it to Acc., unhook battery, give it a few then hook it back up. It should see that the key is in acc. and not go off. If there is a bettery backup siren it is a little trickier.

that wont work since the brain will have the last entry of it being activated. regardless of taking off the battery and putting it back in..<<< hence if the alarm has immobilizer it still wont run.??

fyi.... most clifford alarms have coded 2-button valet switches; you need to punch in a certain, programable sequence. also, with most clifford alarms, if you pull the brain, the car still wont start. clifford alarms are
but back to the topic: the alarm should have some sort of valet button. just switch the ignition to II and press the button. the alarm should shut off

Ummmm, most alarms don't have a memory of this? At least none of the alarms I have ever installed. And I thought he said he didn't know what kind of alarm it is but that he knew it was an older one.
