Default I need some quick response to my question ( suspension and tire...)

Ok i'll get this straight, i have 2 question

My car is soon to be turbo: eg hatch d16z6 with a custom turbo kit 6~7psi
My car is not gutted, i dont plan to do ¼mile race, i just want a faster ride for myself, nothing spectacular

My rims are 99-00 si rims

Question #1: I need to purchase a new set of tire, would you take 195/55/15 tire or 205/50/15 and why?

I was dumb in the past, i bought a set of skunk2 coilover but i didn't buy a set of performance shock to go along with them, so i'm currently riding my stock shock (too bouncy, ride like ****, too dangerous for me)
My ride is drop 2inch in the front and 1,9inch in the back
(i fear that i dont know **** all about suspension, i'm more an engine guy )

Question #2 : Which shock would you consider to buy to go on my dropped ride, i heard of tokico white, konni yellow (but they seam to be expensive), kyb agx, maybe more?

thank you guys

I'm running Falken Ziex 195/50/15 on my Si's and I love them. Got all 4 of them for like $220 shipped from Tire Discount. I'm lowered around 2 inches also and had problems with my tires hitting my fenderlining on hard turn and bumps, but the 50 series tire eliminated those problems.

195/50-15 is actually the proper tire size for a '92-95 Civic - it's closer to the overall diameter of the stock tire size than a 195/55-15 is.

Honestly don't know about the other ones. People keep praising the Tokico's tho. Hell, I'm praising them ; they ride very smooth for daily driving and I'm dropped two inches on Ground Control coilovers .

My only suggestion is do a little shopping around. All I did was find the same guy who I bought mine from on eBay, doing a quick search " Tokico Illumina Civic " there.

I def vouce for JDMWerks13 though (the person who is selling them on eBay) ... I'm in the feedback history on Apr 23 2004, username Trickedcelica95 (once had a 95 celica RIP)

Goodluck bro ... hope any of this helps

205/50, more contact patch, more traction.

as for wear vs a 195/50, IF there is any difference, i guess it would be since you are technically doing more revelutions of the tire to move the same distance but that is SOOO minute you will never know the difference.

just make sure you get an alignment after lowering, and probably about once a year or so, camber is not the killer of tires, it is TOE. I can't stand how many people eat through tires and blame it on camber, camber does wear tires somewhat but not nearly as much as toe does.

as for suspension it all depends on what your overall pervormance goals are. if you want by far best handling possible i would say get some koni yellows. if you want something decent that has a good ride and handles better then factory tokico's are fine. be warned i had tokico blues with ground controls lowered prolly like 2 inches or so, never really measured and blew those bad boys pretty easy. DON"T LOWER TOO MUCH, you will blow any strut no matter what, guarenteed. argue all you want, if you are slamming your car on the ground they may not blow today or tomorrow but they will blow it is a matter of when not if.
