k well i need some help on which motor to use as a swap......i dont have a car yet...but im gonna get one soon.....a 92 EG...not sure on the model...but.....i have an LS motor that my brother gave me........alot of people tell me LS is better...but then agian alot of others say Si..... ...im lost!!......well if it helps...i am strickly Street racing.....and maybe would like to add some boost in the future...so please help me...on which is better....more reliable.....and what i could build off better.....i'd appreciate any help....you guys are the best

which SI motor are you talking about? sohc d16z6 or dohc b16a2? that would help us out a lot more to give you advice

I would say take the LS if is free. Free stuff = and the more money you will have to do other things with your car!!!!

Dude are you going to be racing alot or more just cruising on the street? If your racing do the b16a if your cruising the b18b or make them both great and turbo either one. Thats what I'm doing.

both are good platforms to start, you shouldn't street race but if you must, either one is a perfect platform. Obviously you won't leave either one stock so take the free motor and make it fast.

if all you are doing is racing i say ls w/ the b16 tranny and boost

i ld say you win either way.....if you like torque build a ls na or turbo. Or if you like to rev high do b16. I would say build an b16 na street monster!!!!

bet a b18 then go ls/v or go turbo many options. B16 is not strong enough in my eyes.
