I need help with si rear sway bar install on 6th gen civic
Well I tried to install a si rear sway on my 96 coupe, but ran into a couple of hangups. First, the 2 holes in the subframe on the right have absolutely no threads on them, as far as I can gather from the honda parts diagrams, there is no mention of needing to use any nuts. How are you supposed to anchor them?
Second, the sway bar has zero clearance with my stock exhaust. WTF?!
If anyone could help I would appreciate it.
Its part number 36 that should anchor into the subframe, but the bolt is way too small and I cant see from the diagram that a nut should be needed.

though the diagram doesnt really show that you need nuts for the subframe bolts, you do...no biggie. I opted for all stainless pieces anyways.
For the exhaust.....no clue. I didnt run into that issue.
(at least you get a bump from me)

I remember reading that only the 99-00 Si's came with a nut welded onto the other side of the subframe so as to be able to thread those bolts that hold up the D-bracket on. It's no biggie, as mentioned earlier. Just get you the appropriately sized nuts for the bolts from some store (stainless steel so it won't rust!) and you're set.
