Look it over I havent messed with mine so Im not sure but I read that there are two wire harnesses that can be put back wrong I guess they are the same. I would go back and look at the wires you messed with ad check them and if two are the exact same you have a 50/50 chance they could be in backwards.

this hurts.... did you pull your spark plug wires out while the car was running by any chance. This will create to high of the amprege and might cause your coil to burn. Pull your wires out with a spark plug and test to see if you are getting any spark.

eehhhh
you didnt paint the underside of the valve cover did you

but yeh, double check the firing order,
make sure the wires are plugged into the correct spark plug locations,
AND the correct locations on your distributor

did you monkey with the distributor at all, remove it, loosen it, anything?

I'm not talking about spark plugs. I'm talking about your ignitior, coil maybe wires.

Just pull you one of your spark plugs with a wire, ground it to the body and have someone turn the engine over. You can't tell what's wrong with your car you won't fix it.

I didn't monkey with the distributor at all, remove it, loosen it, anything...I just removed the spark plug wires..there back on the right way...I'm currently trying to take the distributor cap off to see if its a burnt coil or something.....right know..I'm clueless....hopefully something works

what exactly is it doin' when you try to start it? I think you have something wrong that has nothing to do with your valve cover.

the engine rotates but does not start...its not the battery and I don't believe the fuel system because its got 1/2 tank of gas and I did a self dianosgics of the car and there was no code...the check engine light wasn't even on...but my air/fuel ratio guage says its all the way rich when I try to start it but I think thats normal...it was running fine for the first 5-10 mins then it started putting for like 3 secs and then died...so I'm clueless......
