I need a clutch asap!
I need a clutch cus my boy took my car on a date with his girl, and it came back with the gears hard to engage/grinding, but it doesnt smell like clutch. I let the car chill for like 3 days cus i though it was the trans, I tried to start it and right when i applied pressure to the clutch pedal, it fell to the floor and stay there. I checked the master cylinder, clutch lines, and the slave and found no leaks/damage. So is it the clutch? I've never had the honor of burning a clutch in any car. And if it is the clutch, what do you guys have to say about the "ebay clutch kits". I'm looking at the "F1" kit because I'm selling my D series and getting a B18C and i doubt someone is willing to buy my swap without them seing it perform/move, and i dont want to buy another ACT clutch if im gonna sell my swap.http://search.ebay.com/civic-c...ZWLRS

well be that as it may...if you try to advertise it as having "a new clutch" and you get a perspective buyer...chances are that the person is going to ask "what kind of clutch did you have put in it" and ur response, going by ur previous statement, is going to be "(insert ebay brand here), got it off ebay..." they are probably going to be a bit uneasy simply because its an ebay brand... it may actually not suck...but i can assure you the stigma going along with ebay brands is there...

You get what you pay for on ebay. Buy a cheap partand you will get cheap part. You can get a stock clutch at Pep Boys or Ato Zone for like $150.00 or I sell Exedy stage 1 for $236.00

I always stick by the stance of this: If it's not imperative to the operation/safety of the vehicle, go ahead buy it on ebay and it's no big deal. But when it comes to essentials as I listed...ease away.. Too much junk on there to bother sifting through it and picking a good one...
On topic: I would be finding a decent clutch and having "your boy" pay for it and the installation. You know he was f'n around with it while he was out with his "girl" and that's a bunch of B.S. Either way...search H-T classifieds for a decent clutch...also as prev. stated if you're looking for performance or just stock Advanced Auto/Pep Boys/Auto Zone all would be able to supply your need.
