Default I know white smoke = coolant but...

Hey guys,

Started up my car today and let it run to get warm(in the midst of bodywork...dont want it to sit too long). Anyways, I gave it a quick rev and let it sit for a good 10-15 minutes on.

I have a pinhole in my exhaust and I see that there is OIL coming out of it. Also, I get quite a bit of white smoke. Though, the oil dosnt seem as thick and is alot more like water mixed with what looks like it mixed with the carbon in my exhaust.

Either way, I just did my Headgasket about 2 weeks ago and from my haynes and helmsit said to torque it to 53ft/lb(or was it 57..it seemed low anyways) so I dont think its that. Also, my engine did not give off white smoke before I did the headgasket.

Is my Hgasket somehow the problem here?

The oil isnt milky.
Antifreze has no bubbles, and isnt milky.
The block has no visible leaks.

57?? I think not mang... I did a Neon HG, and those fawkers needed to be tightened down really well. I think you botched it mang. Check the torque specs again!

Did you let it run for awhile then check?

Ususally condesnsation happens in the exhaust and when you first turn on the car it will smoke white and the water will mix with the carbon in the exhaust.

Take it for a drive then check after it gets to operating temps.

Yeah I'm letting it run now for about 5-10 minutes. I tightened my exhaust mani as it was leaking slighty.

I can't take it for a spin unfortunatly. The cars on 4 stands without rims/tires as i'm in the process of bodywork.

YIKES

So I have that pinhole in my exhaust and it SPEWED out brown water when I gave the engine a rev to about 5k. I mean it dosnt seem oily at all just seems like carbon and water mixed together..

Checked oil and coolant..all ok.

After I took the header off and on my bro's s2k, it smoked white smoke for about 15 minutes when we put it back on (from all the PB blaster and crap). It may still be condensation, or other things you mighta sprayed on when doing the head gasket. If your levels aren't changing, I wouldn't think you're burning anything. If you're not getting CEL's I'd say your mixture is good. Maybe there's something in your fuel? How long has it been sitting?

Could either be your HG, or rust and water dripping from the whole.
