there should be more to a decision besides whats fastest.

The C5 has a better tranny, hands down, which is worth the extra grand in itself. Close gearing, LSD, it's all good! Then you have the head, .5 or .6 points above GSR, valvetrain etc to work with. It's an incredible engine and in a EG/EH chassis, is a perfect combo for drag and auto cross.'

I've seen C5 hatches hit 13 flat on slicks all day long, STOCK. The fastest I have seen a GSR hatch run is a 13.6, and that's with bolt ons and slicks. I've seen a JRSC GSR EK hit 12.8 on slicks, which isn't too great, but deffinate not bad for a full interior daily driver.

I say C5 for many reasons. The extra grand is nothing compared to the amount you receive. Don't just look at numbers, but the overall build up of each engine.

actually, EG is referred to the Japan hatches and the US sedan.

The US 92-95 hatchies are either EH2 or EH3. EH3 is the 92-95 Si and the EH2 are the other models...VX,CX,DX. It'sjust easy to refer to them as EG, since that's the Japan code. coupes are EJ's, etc. Way too many codes, so we stick to EG for the hatch

Oh, and 88-91 is EF
