i have a problem on my 1995 d16z6 redline
wat title says well my redline is always off if im pushing my car my car sometime cuts of at 55 to 6 grand on rpms and its supposed to cutt off at 71 or 72??? my question is how can i fix it ???and if i chip my p28 will it do it still??? lmk

I wouldnt see why you would chip your ecu unless your motor needs to obtain a higher redline (built block/head) My guess is that your stock tach is slightly off.

sometimes i can go past my rev limit its weird i wanna chip it to rev lil higher 73-74
and when im at the track this problem isnt cool

is it doing that problem on the stock ecu? if so then your tach might be off. hook up an aftermarket one and compare the two.

this problem doesnt happen all the time it does it mostly if the car isnt warm but even after the car is hott it still does it once in a while not often when its hott

blowing up the engine at the track is less cool. Why would you want to raise the limit unless you're making more power up there?
Anyway, on to your problem. If it's an intermittent problem then raising the limit isn't going to help you. I think your ECU is trying to tell you something. Like the others said Any CEL's? How's the oil pressure. Either of these would cause your ECU to go into limp mode and not activate VTEC.
