Default I have an OBDII code PO135, o2 sensor bad.

Hey guys, I have a 2000 stock dx D16Y8.

As stated on the title I'm getting Po135 code from the guys at Auto Zone's diagnostic reader.

I know I'm in the hole about a hundred bucks, my question is would this sensor being bad cause my car run like crap at idle?
For example at stop lights or in park, it idles really rough and the car has died a couple of times, like a bad alternator or something.
Is this normal behavior for a bad sensor or is there perhaps another issue I'm dealing with?

Thanks in advance.

alternator and o2 are 2 different categories. If your car dies because the alternator is bad, most likely, your car wont crank again.

yeah its the normal behavior of a bad sensor, try resetting the ecu(unplug the batter for 10 minutes or unplug the ecu and plug it back in) first and then see if it still shows a cel.

Yes, it's normal, when the primary O2 sensor goes bad the car will run extremely rich and cause all sorts of drivability problems.
