i have engine codes help
ok i just did a engine swap on my 96 civic ex i put in a a obd1 b16 p30 ecu
i jumped the ecu and i got i think 4 codes the first one is 3 fast flashes witch i would think its 3 MAP - manifold absolute pressure sensor, the secound is 2 long flashes and seven quick ones but theirs no 27 on the trouble shoot guide on the form here so im guess its 17 VSS - speed sensor, then the third code is two long ones witch would make it 20 Electrical load detector and my last one witch i got 4 long flashes and one quick one wtich makes that 41 Primary oxygen sensor heater. i have no idea how to fix any of these codes any help would be great!!! and i put in a new primary and secoundary o2 sensors so i dont know any help would be great.

Re: i have engine codes help (v8 integra)
First off, make sure that the o2 sensor is wired in correctly. I.E. when I replaced my oil pump, when I took off the exhaust mani, the secondary o2 sensor pulled out when my mani accidently dropped on the ground. I pulled a code until I got all of the wires in the correct spot.
For the #3 code, you probably have to replace the MAP sensor.
You can find info about the code 20 here.
Lastly, make sure that the code 17 is indeed a code 17. If so, replace the VSS.

Re: (v8 integra)
I had all kinds of whacky codes and such when I replaced my engine harness on a D16Y7/Y8 mini-me and it was a ground wire. If your B16 might be similar but check your grounds! On the D16 there's 1 from the block to the front of the chassis, transmission to body, and wiring harness to thermostat housing. The last one was the one that caused my problems.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.
