instead of going thru the trouble i would just get a non oem ctr grill, or find someone with out the chrome piece...like a dx or something...

hmm as far as o knew chrome grills only came on sedans right? why is that one on you hatch? different front? hmm...plus ive painted my chrome grill and i noticed that the chrome grills have 3 slots for the grill them selfs, where as the cx dx ex only have the one making it much easier to cut out for a mesh grill.

well actually its my brothers project EK hatch but it has a salvage title so I guess the front end was from a Sedan.

To me, doing that with that type of grill looks bad because the way the grill is designed, the grill mesh is held flush with it, not like a type-r grill where the mesh is recessed.
