Default I guess its final

So i was talking to my mom about swapping out the tranny and getting a 5spd swap which of course i would be paying for all the parts. But it with said, she disagreed and said i can do any other mods besides the tranny swap but she didnt give me a particular reason. but she said if i didnt go through with it, ill get my s2k as a graduation present next year (09), which of course some of my savings are going into that to.

but i would like to know what basic mods should i go through with?
this is what im thinking of oding so far:

Alarm
Springs/shocks or Skunk 2 coilovers
Rims
I/H/E

Suggestions?

Damn, I wish I got a S2K as a graduation present.

I wouldn't even waste money doing mods on the Civic...just save up for or start buying stuff for the S2000.

I totally agree...not to mention, NA parts on a D series is a HUGE waste of time.

Once again as said before, don't waste money on this car. Instead save up the money, especially if you are getting an S2000 as a graduation gift. You can then use your money on that car. Putting I/H/E on your car is pointless and a big waste of money if you ask me. I don't see the reason why you would. The only thing out of the list you should do is maybe the alarm, so it doesn't get stolen for now. Still i say leave it completely stock and save up all of your money for your future car.

if your mom is really going to get you a S2k for your grad present, the only mod i'd do to your car is a nice set of OEM si/ls/gsr wheels with a nice set of tires. Keep saving for your s2k parts.

Who cares if it sits high, your mom drives this car don't make it a chore for her to get in and out of the car.

But if you don't care go for it, it'd be a better investment than I/H/E. You could sell wheels a lot easier when your ready to get rid of the car.

If you're getting an S2000, then all you need is a huge budget for tires, brake pads, and oil and you're gonna have a lot of fun with it. Damn the Civic, boy!

Save your money, dont do **** to the honda at this point. Fight every urge you can, and just spend the necessary expenses on repairs and maintenance. Baby it too, so it doenst have to be "repaired" often, so you can sell it when graduation comes, and theres a few extra dollars. Def save save save tho, S2K parts arent cheap.

I personally think a drop and rims would look better on a S2K.
