Default Hydro Lock Question

so i have a cold air intake on my 2000 si and as everyone know's it recently has been raining latley.....so i went to check my intake tonight to see if it was wet and it was soked..i have a splash guard and an inner fender but it keeps getting wet any suggestions??....also is it possible for me to get hydro lock...??...thanks for the help

unless you submerge the ENTIRE filter element in an extremely deep puddle of water....NO. this almost never happens. try putting a wide straw halfway into some water and suck it up...its impossible.

now i dont want to lead on thats its impossible...but it's highly unlikely.

get one of these and never worry about it.

also most cold air intake filters are K&N style which means they are cotton filters which are oiled. oil repels water. therefore it can get as wet as it wants, its not going to damage it...just dont submerge the whole thing.
