HX rims on a EX?
Looking to buy a set, but I've seen a few for sale saying they won't clear EX calipers? Is this true? I know it's a tight fit, and the calipers have to be shaved a bit for the Integra, but didn't think this held true for the EX. 98 HX wheels on 98 EX.

Thanks for the info. Trying to keep it stock looking while upgrading. I might just go with the 94-95 GSR/SE rims if I can find a set in good condition. Or the 99-00 SI.

Re: HX rims on a EX?
Yeah, I kinda wanted to keep the rims lightweight and for the prices of the fat fives I could just get Slipstreams. I had bronze ones on my 4dr GSR and I think I may do it again with my EX coupe. Thanks for the opinions guys.

Mesh's do look really nice on almost anything. There's some Ford Focus rims that look kind of like mesh's.
I would avoid running spacers. For what they cost, and the fact that has to do something to how the car handles, I'd prefer to just run rims that fit.
The Civic EX uses a very similar knuckle casting as the Integra and the external dimensions are the same. For aftermarket replacement, they use the same part number.

Re: HX rims on a EX?
In order to fit HX wheels on a EX, you must use 5mm spacer for it to clear the caliper. Other methods such as grinding down the bracket works but I wouldn't recommend it. HX wheels are awesome btw. Tire rotation pick up the rim with one hand. LOL Pretty good for gas too.

Find a tire shop that sells spacers, pick one up and try it out. If it doesn't fit, exchange it for a slightly larger one.
Be careful though, you don't want to go too big on the stock studs. If you can't get at least 6 full turns on the lug the spacer is too large.

I think it's in the 3-5mm area.

Not to just get these on, but if you want to go with a, let's say a 15-25mm spacer(like me lol) you will deffinetly need longer studs. Or, you can buy spacers with the studs already in them.

HX offset is +45, ex is reported to be +40-42.
We know for a fact the HX is +45, but, I am not 100% on the others. It's just what I could find from a quick google search.
It's a well known fact the HX wheels have issues clearly the larger calipers.

Re: HX rims on a EX?
I ran 5 mm spacers all around with HX wheels and didn't need extended lug studs. Was able to screw in the lug at little more than 5 and a half circles before torquing it.

That would be 25mm+ isn't it? I think 10mm+ you will need extended studs. But they will look fantastic. I ran 5mm spacers and they looked good but not aggressive enough.
