HP at the Wheels and Racing
Which has more HP at wheels and in race w/ equal drivers who would win??
just curious and bored.
-92 Talon TSI Turbo awd-- weighs 3100 195HP (Turbo engages 2200 RPM-5500 PRM - redlines at 7000 (STOCK IHE, stock clutch)
-95 Civic GSR (JDM) Hybrid-- weighs 2100 180HP (v-tech 4400 and 5600 prm -redlines at 8200 RPM (Stock clutch (GSR) and stock IHE (Exhaust will be stock 2.25 piping))
I figure the talon will loose more hp because awd and have 175+ at wheels and the EG 165+ HP at wheels. The talan may get off the line first (AWD) but 1000 pounds more so i think the eg will take a second to catch it and one more to rape it and come back for sloppy seconds
just my shiny nikels imput

Re: HP at the Wheels and Racing (B18C1)
I don't know, the AWD will probably kill the Civic off the line like you said, but the weight might make a difference in the end. No doubt the Civic will have to catch up in the early gears to win though. My friend has a modded out AWD TSi Talon and those things are pretty scary fast...

Re: HP at the Wheels and Racing (B18C1)
comparing that turbo and vtec is not a close comparsion....u also forgot the torque...figures....torque is a major part in the whole race thing....cause u want to know which car would still be pulling harder or not....the higher the torque peak the longer ur car will pull harder....but from personally exp....i think the talon would dust the hybrid....just because i can hybrids with my gsr....all it is is weight differnce....wait nm.....ur civic weighs only 2100lbs! then u will be in the 14's .... if thats true then u would take that talon no problem....

Re: HP at the Wheels and Racing (bommiE)
The only thing is Talons have a lot more torque which will help along with AWD. I know the 2G talons and eclipses run around 14.90's stock so I think it be a very close race. The talon has the upper had in that it has a turbo which means a couple hundred dollars and the Talon is going to eat the civic for lunch.
