i would take it to the upholstery shops. i'm sure they are able to fix it. a local shop in my area fixed my buddy's dashboard that had a hole the size of a quarter in it. after they were done you couldn't tell there was ever a hole in the dash. perfect color matching of the vinyl and everything. probably will cost you a pretty penny, but if you want to keep it, what the heck?

I suppose you could put some kind of support on the back of it (duct tape perhaps? ) and then try to do red stitching on it like a baseball. You could just get a really small drill bit and then thread like a vinyl string or something through it. Would definately be different.

You could prolly pick up something similar to this for a few bucks at Wal Mart or an auto parts store...
"For on the spot repair of any vinyl, plastic or soft rubber item such as air mattresses, wading pools, waders, boots, toys, glovesetc. Each kit contains sufficient patch material and repair cement for several repairs. "
Not saying exactly that, but I know when I worked at autozone we had some things similar to that... Worth a try, and may save you some $... Good luck, and let us know if you get it fixed...
