I just did this with my 92 DX. You will need the floor harness for sure. To hook it up without it is very hard to figure out! (Lot's of wiring ) I tried it and that same day went and picked up the floor harness. (My problem was because I have a hatchback I could not wire the rear wiper and defog without over loading it and blowing fuses). Just get the floor harness! (Paid like $4 for all the wiring and finished in 20 min. )

If anybody wants a hatch release they can just ad a soliniod (i thinks thats how you spell it ) and hook it up to the cable and then to the alarm trunk release button . It took me all of 10min. As far as having a latch inside the car for the hatch release, all civics come with either a trunk or hatch release latch.
