The key is obviously in red and can be used for any site. It happens to be very useful to search this site if you search very specific terms. If you want to find something where someone had written exactly VX rear diffuser can put quotation marks around the term in the search.

I think you've noted the most important thing that people don't do (that the site used to do automatically), and that's to sort the results by relevancy and not the default, "Last Posting Date" which is utterly ridiculous and will return the same thread over and over again.
There is another way that you can quickly and effectively search HT and find very specific results and that's with google. If you wanted to search for VX rear diffuser part number, you can type exactly this in google:
vx rear diffuser site:honda-tech.com
