Default How should I replace this piece?

hey guys, i bought a brand new skunk 2 intake manifold off my friend for 100 bux. the only thing wrong with it is the tube on the back has been pinched somehow, possibly from dropping it..

the tube im talking about is the one that is the very top most in this picture. I think its for vacuum. Anyways, how should these be replaced? I have one off of my old intake mani that should fit.

So whats the "proper" way to remove and replace it?

UPDATE---

Okay here are pictures

that doesn't sound like the most efficient idea. there has to be a better way right?

u can try heating it with a blow torch and try to shape it back to where its supposed to be. Try the welding/fabrication forum, they may have a solution

it would bend back yes... but there would still be a dent in the middle.... I think it would be best just to weld a new one....

okay guys. i tried "unthreading" it, and it just bent the tube... so i dont think its threaded... anyway i tried unbending it, but it still left a slight bottleneck...

here is a picture

do you think that it's okay having a bottleneck like that? I mean, would it have any negative effects? i can blow air through it easily..

i would heat it up and stick a screw driver or something in the hole and try to pry it back.

That is only to apply vacuum to the brake booster, right? I can't see there being a whole lot of airflow in that fitting.

so long as theres no hole in the tube part in the inside of the elbow, thats enough vacuum for the brakes, the booster doesnt need a wide tube to draw air, its not doin a vacuuming constantly. It will be alright.

it should be fine the way it is.

but if you want to replace it you will need to get it out, take some vice grips and clamp it on and work it back and forth to get it out.

then get some generic brake hard line tubing slightly larger in OD than the stock tube you are removing, cut it to approximate size and lightly tap it in the hole with a hammer, then you will be there with a straight tube out of the manifold, then get a small tubing bender and viola!, then put a small hose clamp on the booster hose

Cut it off before the kink and use a hose clamp to hold on the hose.

Pretty simple fix.

Why can't you just snap it off and use a tap to thread a new hole? Dump a AN fitting in there and call it a day.
