how to remove springs?

how to remove springs?
can someone help me out a little here. i wanted to put springs in my car and i wanna know which bolts i have to remove in order to remove the shock. thanx for any help. oh yea and i have a 96 civic, thanx

theres two bolts on each strut setup. i think they are 14 mm. and one bolt on the bottom. i think its 17 mm. be very careful when compressing and undoing the stock coil spring. clubsi.com has a tech section that tells you how to do it all...check it out. this is the exact link..... http://www.clubsi.com/howto_springs.shtml

just a tip. on the front shocks...pull the bolt alllll the way out. the shock body is indented so it wot come out with the bolt partially in there. This is for those of us who only thought that bolt provided clamping power only to the shock body. (I am guilty of it the first time i tried to take them off)
