Simple, but time consuming. And if you **** up like I did it's even more time consuming.

Been there, **** sux too
When you are putting everything back together, make sure the bolts go in properly. Dont get too excited or anything. also, remember the grounds.

Nope. Pulled it, put it back together ENTIRELY. Put the car on the ground...go to start it...shifter wont move back and forth. Had to do it ALL over again because i bent the shift arm with the interlock guide bolt. Worst weekend of my life.

took my tranny out a month ago. thought it would be a few hours. turned out to be 5 hours. not very hard. lot of bolts but time consuming. use bags for your bolts.

How many have you done? I work on these cars in my shop an it still takes me an hour to do this with air tools and a lift I think you are exagerating just a little.

I do 2 or 3 a day.
4 nuts and 2 bolts for axles
2 bolts for starter
8 or so bolts for tranny
6 nut/bolt for tranny mount
Wires- A couple ground wires, Speed sensor, reverse light, (I remove distributor/upper radiator hose for quicker time).
2 bolts for slave cylinder, 2 more for slave cylinder hydraulic line.
4 bolts, flywheel cover
*Auto Trans- 8-10 torque converter bolts.
If you think about it, it's under 30 nuts/bolts, so it isn't really that hard. I change clutches in around 2 hours working alone, quicker with help. I use air tools, lift, and floor jack for auto trans/tranny jack on manual trans'.

You're not the only one. Unless he worked constantly and didnt stop for a Pepsi break every 15 mins like me. Like it takes 30 minutes to do everything once you get the car up on a lift...but I like to take my time with things and would probably take me an hour or two just to get the thing off.
