Hey I just got some new doors for my car but they do not have any windows or the gears for the windows (hand crank windows).

I was wondering if anyone here knew how to remove the window and the gears to replace into a new door?

Roll your windows down until you see two gold bolts that hold your window to your window regulator. One bolt you should see through a round hole. At that point stop rolling the window down and remove the two 10mm bolts. Your window will now come out from the top.

Next, remove more 10mm gold bolts holding the window regulator to the door. Now you can slide the window regulator through the opening in the door.

+1 just be sure to hold that window in place as youre taking the first two screws out or it will drop into the door and possibly shatter it.

hmm seems simple enough. Thanks a lot for the quick response.

As for re-installing the window into the new door, should i just reverse the order? (put back on the window regulator, then the window)

is there anything special i need to know for the re-install?

When reinstalling, put in the regulator then the window. Having a friend helping you hold the window while you bolt it in is a plus.
