How to remove CD player from EG?
I have been trying really hard to remove my cd player, I even accidentaly blew it and already got a replacement for it.
I took off the ashtray/center console and unscrewed the 2 screws that go up into the deck. However it woudlnt pop out like suppose to. Under a closer inspection, there are 2 screws that are in the back going inside the deck. However there is not enough space to fit a screwdriver back there, not even with a mini screw driver. How the hell am I supposed to remove em? They are directly behind the deck. Heres a picture, sorry its kind of hard to get under there.
The first picture where theres a black circle, thats where the 2 screws are from underneath however those were cake to remove, theres 1 on each side.
The second picture is the screw that i cant get rid of. It is directly behind the deck facing into it.

Did you get/install the deck yourself? I was gonna say if you didn't you may need "keys" to unlock the head unit from its mount. There wouldn't be inaccessible screws that you need to get at unless some idiot installed it like that.
I got my car with a Sony HU and had to buy the keys for it, they were like $10 bucks when I needed to pull it out. I'm not sure about Alpine though...I would first try using a flat head or something small to unlock it. There should be 2 clips on either side of the deck. The deck should be installed in a metal casing which is attached to the car, so all you need to do is depress those clips and slide it out. If you see the clips, but can't get them...either search online or just stop by a local radio shop, they have all keys for all stereo brands.
Good luck.

that's what i assumed...someone with that awesome of an avatar wouldn't forget how they put their cd player in lol.
But i think alpines don't require keys, so when you get a chance use a screwdriver or a pen or something and you probably have to depress both sides simultaneously, should come right out

lol thanks man. Im just trying to get this car to the best that it can be instead of replacing everything like people with money do. My passenger front speaker doesnt work, for some reason the wires for them were cut, so I was going to pull the deck to fix it. Im trying to learn as much as possible and do the work myself. Instead of taking it to an audio place and getting jiffed 50 bucks for removing a deck. lol

I got it out, it had these metal pins that stuck up so when i pulled, it just bent them back, so i got a mini driver and pushed em down all around the deck. Now just gotta figure out why my front right speaker doesnt work and install the replacement deck. thanks.
