How reliable is the (auto) tranny in the 99-00 EX (SOHC VTEC)...

How reliable is the (auto) tranny in the 99-00 EX (SOHC VTEC)...
I was just wondering how reliable the transmissions are on AUTOMATIC 99-00 Honda Civic EX (US) / Si (CAN). For clarity, this is the SOHC VTEC motor. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not asking for myself. It is actually for a family friend. What I'm asking for is reliability in the long-run.

if the engine isn't upgraded then there's no reason for the tranny to out go anytime soon.

i mean how are we supposed to know...the 99-00's are like 4 years old 
honda auto tranny's are money tho...my friends 86 accord had like 250,000 miles on it and the gas tank rusted through before the car died...
