i dont quite get the question, but are you saying something like your car came with R lca without the 5 lug?
if so then the previous owner put that R lca to run a type R shock/spring combo.

If you're asking how it works, it's b/c its about the same size as the EG / non R DC chasis LCA's and has the same connecting points... I believe it has the lower shock connection a little lower down than the eg does, but I'm not quite sure on that. Basically people change it out, like stated above, so they can use type-r suspension components (i.e. shock/spring combo)
