Re: Back from the dead -- How's the rack Quaife holding up??? (Hybrid93Hatch)
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Hybrid93Hatch »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I do have a couple questions about the install:
1) Helms says to lock the steering wheel before removing the rack/pinion. I am thinking about replacing the OEM SRS wheel (SRS is out now) with an aftermarket wheel while the car is apart (K20 rebuild). Is this possible or should I reinstall the rack/pinion before removing the wheel. Besides the alignment possibly being off is there anything else to worry about? (I have a 3yr unlimited alignment w/Tires Plus so I am not worried about the alignment).
2) How do you know how far to place it inside?
3) What is the hardest part about this swap?
</TD></TR></TABLE>
Anyone?

Does anyone have the part number for that clip, or know how to safely remove it?

Re: How To: Quaife Steering into EG (litterbox)
BUMP 4 OLD THREAD...
<U>QUESTION?</U>
(Ref: <U>92-95 Honda Civic </U>Hatchback)
WILL THERE BE ANY PROBLEMS INSTALLING A NON-POWER STEERING RACK (CX or DX version) in to an '95 SI hatch (which formerly had Power steering) ???
Are there differences in mounting points?
is there any re-tapping, cutting or welding involved?
I'm recieving mixed messages claiming that the CX/DX model rack & pinion have different mounting points than the Si model....
Need help ASAP???
