Many of the people on here go with an OEM cap and rotor and NGK spark plugs and wires. Your owners manual will tell you when to change them.

Holy crap. That's often as ****.

Everyone seems to negate replacing these until 75k-100k, but I think the wires will last the longest.

why go to the dealership for plugs and wires? it just costs more. I run ngk blue's for wires, and bosch iridiums for plugs. I'm very happy with them.

The NGK plugs are OEM (I have the iridium ones however) and the OEM wires were made by NGK as well, I'm not sure if they are the blues without the color, I dooubt they are though.

Honestly, if you do a little research, you'll see that some of the fastest hondas have stock ignition systems.

Never go with Bosch plugs. 90% of cars that have a plug problem that come into the dealership are running Bosch's. Bosch= VW, NGK= Honda....don't cross them.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to change plugs every 10-15k, cap and rotor every 15-20, and wires every 30. I use strictly Honda or NGK

actually some, if not most are made by sumitomo. i am running the ngk blues though with no problems. just don't go with a bigger diameter unless you are running like an aftermarket ignition box. as far as plugs, just stick with ngk's. i had ngk platinum's in mine for a long time, but just replaced with ngk copper's and can't tell any difference. the coppers are MUCH cheaper than the platinums. cap, rotor, and ignition coil go to honda. they aren't changed that often, so spend the little extra. i know from experience, i was running an autozone cap, rotor, and some Taylor (like 8 or 9mm) wires to Bosch plugs and it ran like total ****.

15k for plugs
30k for cap and rotor
45k for wires

And yes, stick to OEM when it comes to ignition components.
