Default How much would you pay for a parts car...

Heres the deal... a guy comes up to me yeserday after seeing what I drive and says"Hey, would you happen to want another one of those?" He goes on to explain that his daughter neglected her car(not keeping it up to date on maintenence), and he was going to sell it. He goes on to tell me about the car itself and there are a few things wrong: starter siezed, cosmetic things, etc. The starter is the only thing actually keeping it from running. We talk some more and he says that he would take 300 dollares for it (I know you can always go lower). So my question to you is how much would you pay for a 92-95 civic hatch. I dont know what model it is yet, tho. I will post pics and more info up later.

I paid $1500 canadian for a DA with a '97 b18b. I wouldn't have paid more than $1200 or so but it was a friend and I wanted to help him out so I didn't counter offer or anything.

I would say take the car for $300 if you have a place to put it and time to deal with it.

biggest factors there.... if the body is in good shape, it's worth the 300 alone... if it's an Si, you can sell the engine/computer and such for that much. 300 isn't hard to make off a parts car..... I gave 1800 for my daily driver hatch, but on a more related note, I paid 650 for my EX parts car, and 700 for my Del Sol parts car.... they are priceless when you need the parts at hand.....

definetily do it and fix it up. If not you can easily make profit selling or parting out.

IF it's an SI i will be swapping motor/trans in. I have changed a starter B4 and would be relatively easy to get it running & looking good enough to make some cash. On the other hand, I would rele like it finish up swapping my whole interior over to charcoal. I need a new fender & both bumpers could be replaced(mostly aesthetic nick-nacks). I will be going to look at it either Mon. or Tues. depending on my work schedule.
