Default How much is this worth...pics

Ok we just finished my buddys jdm d15b swap in his 4door. About a month later he was tboned by a mirage and now he wants to sell it cause of an alignment issue. The alignment shop told him he needed to replace the main bushing on the lower contral arm or it would fall right back out of alignment. I told him to take it somewhere else (cause what civic lca bushing doesnt need changing, right?) or well just replace the bushing. Anyways what do u think this thing is worth. He got the motor from h-motors and drove it for like a month, barley had time to break the clutch in. The ac works, power steering works, its got a brand new exedy clutch, 15 inch enkies and a cat back with a fart can muffler.

IF you can find somebody who really can see the potential you MAY get more than several hundred...

But unfortunately that damage is a real eyesore, and most people cannot see past it. Like most have said before me, if you can fix it, you would get much more for it!

Good luck!

psh....part it out?? i could use alot from this ferio parting it out would get you more than 500, but its more work that way if you know what i mean...i mean, you could fix it though. but again, you could part it out to me or i'll give you $400 for it as is.

Way better off parting it out..
When selling as a whole, most people want it to be ready to go regardless of the asking price.
Part it out.. You can probably get someone to pay the 700 for the engine, 400 for the wheels (at least).. ****, I'll pay 400 for those wheels! Lol
For the tail-lights or head-lights with corners, people will pay like 60 for the pair..
Just to give you an idea. Part it out or fix it up.

Who would pay $700 for a sohc from a private seller (stranger)?
I would pay $700 for the whole thing.

As for expecting 1500...... Maybe, thats maybe if it wasnt tboned you could get $1500

You never get what you put into a car.

I'd give you $100 and a ride home for it. But on a serious note, I can't see you getting anymore then 1k for it. I wouldn't bother parting it out, i'd shoot somewhere between $700-1,000 for it.

Im pretty sure; but within the realm of "normal" you can get $300-$400 and thats WITH tranny.
Also how long are you willing to keep the car sitting there. Sure theres SOMEONE that will pay top dollar but are you willing to have the car sitting there for 15 months?

If the rocker isn't bent, and the door jamb isn't either.. I would throw new doors, fender, and side skirt on it and drive it. To sell it, I doubt you'd get more than $500 to $700 tops for it.

dude its and unwanted 4 door with a stock junk motor with extencive body damage. for 1500 you can buy a mint body stock civic with a d15 all day. no offence but be realistic 1500 is way to much 600 is probably more like what you might get. and as for the motor being 750 im sorry to hear that. guys please explain to me why youd pay 750 for a 1.5 litre single cam. i know there are fans of the single cam out there but why they have no real potential.

I'll take the interior pieces, trunk latch, front corner lamps, and some others if you decide to part out.

i agree with you that 1500 is alot, but saying its an "unwanted 4door" and "its a 1.5 litre single cam they have no real potential" is a huge understatement. boosting SOHC have proven over and over again to hang with the best. plus people build them cause its way cheaper! easy way to make 200-250hp, and boosting it for half the price any b or h or w/e series.i have respect for those building d-series, because people have built them, boosted them, and kept up with evo's, stang gt's, and my buddy has a boosted zc blew the brakes off my b18...there is potential, and i happen to like hauling buddies around, have space in the back seat for groceries, and the extra space for w/e reason that comes in the one and only FERIO!! its convenient for my taste my everyday life....heres what you should do....research why people love d-series (sohc no zc) motors. i promise you will have a new respect for those who build sohc motors. plus its a sense of great pride knowing you walked all over somebody in a d-series!!

and if your not going to research why people love them...then why would you ask the question? i KNOW a lot of people with sohc motors that would blow you out of the water, put you to shame, with your head between your legs, whimpering. no offense btw lol
