What are you doing running the d series ecu if you have the b series ecu with you?
The D16 ecu is set up for the D motor. Once you change it all the settings that are supposed to be correctly implied on the B motor will let you know what you are missing.

What are you trying to say?
He doesn't have a b16 ecu Yet, he wants to know if he'll realize any power gains from using the proper ecu.

Anyways it's not going to be that big of a difference, the ecu your using now is programed for the d16 engine, get the b16 ecu and it's got the dohc fuel and ignition curve. I would just chip your ecu with the dohc specs

You're probably missing out on 25-40 whp with that ecu. Plus, your motor is probably running dangerously lean.

Also, you can't chip it since it's OBD2. You can try to find an OBD2a p30 from a usdm del sol, but they are rare and expensive. You can use a P2T from a 99-00 SI, but you will need a conversion harness, and they are expensive. Your other OBD2 options are to find a jdm ecu or you can use a gsr P72 ecu, but it won't be optimal for the B16. Your best bet is to run an OBD1 computer, like a chipped p28 and buy a cheap $75 or so OBD2a - OBD1 jumper harness.

Users on h-t you can PM to buy a chipped p28 from:

good point, cutting a b16 off at 7 has got to suck.
