How much is my car worth????
Hey guys, I'm going to be selling my car in a few months and was wondering what people would be willing to offer for it.
Here is the description:
1995 Civic Hatch CX
Brand new Graphite Metallic paint job(full paint, except interior)
Area 51 CF hood
16x7 Volk CE-28N w/ Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s
B16 swap with GSR tranny
ITR intake manifold, JDM 4-1 Header, full exhaust, intake, Chipped P28, V-AFC,
Jdm gauge cluster, climate control, and clock.
Ground control coilovers w/ KYB adjustables.
I may be forgetting some other things, if I remember any, I will put them up.
Here is the car:

MODS: I didn't really know where to put this. I figured in the EG forum was the best, because this isn't really a classified ad. Thanks.

Re: How much is my car worth???? (1 Evil Civic)
3000 for the hatch
2000 for the motor
1000 for the rims
-----------------------
6000 or so depending on swap condition, receipts, and body mileage.
paintjobs aren't really factorable.

Re: How much is my car worth???? (FDragger)
Why would a paint job not be factorable? It cost me 2600 to have the car stripped down, body work performed and painted. I think that is definitely factorable. But it may not be to someone looking at the car. And the rims are worth about 1500 not 1000. They have been driven on for 20 miles.
I think I could get more than 6k for it with the demand for hatches with swaps right now. Oh well, we'll see.

I wouldn't say it factorable, but I would say that you shouldn't expect to get the money back on you paint job.
I would have to say that it worth around 5,000-7,000.

Re: How much is my car worth???? (deepnite)
Well, that is an interesting point deepnite. But, if the person didn't like the wheels, they could sell them and still be able to get the rims they've always wanted. I think the color is a pretty neutral color though, not like green or PY or something like that. When it comes time to sell it, I guess I'll see how much I can get for her.

Here's the problem with repaints... you never know how it was done. Many repaints are done because the car started rusting to start with. Then, if a bad job was done on it, it's gonna start bubbling within a year probably. If it's obviously a high quality paintjob then I think it would add value to the car. If it's questionable, then it could actually detract... just my opinion.
The price (asking price) of built hatches is all over the place. I've seen cars sell for 9 that I'd have bet wouldn't bring more than 7. I don't understand it. I guess it's just finding a seller that your car appeals to.

id say start at 8,500 or 9,000 and say or offer. it is very clean in the pictures, and i would assume it is in person. better to start at a high offer than a low one you know?

Re: How much is my car worth???? (LSHatch)
it all depends on the mileage, how much youve done to your car doesnt mean anything. it drops the value of the car if anything. i say you could get like 5000- 6000 if the car has over 100,000 on it.

Re: How much is my car worth???? (8grandEG)
The reason I think I could get more tahn 6k and what not is because I saw a pheonix yellow shell with a CF hood and wing sell for like 4-5k. I can't remember. I've also seen a stock looking EG with just a swap trying to sell for like 9k. A gsr swap and that was it.
I know I can definitely get more than 6k for the car. Maybe not on H-T.com, but probably locally. Well, at least I hope so. When I decide to sell it, I'm going to ask high, but will be willing to take lower offers. I'll just hope that someone offers close to my asking price. Maybe I should ask 38k for my civic. Haha.
