how much can a roof rack hold???
how much can a roof rack hold? weight wise??? you think a rack could hold a pit bike???? about 150lbs??? whats the best brand out there??? thanks for any info!

mine is 130lb max... but i also dont have the cargo ability
honestly either thule or yakima are your best bet... one thing i will tell u is that a lot of the thule accessories if not almost all of them work with yakima, but i know some of the thule racks use the square bars limiting the ability to buy used stuff.

i was assuming as much... actually i have seen sedans with tow setups on the rear... not sure what the hell its for though, at the most we could be lucky to pull a damn wheeled cooler

mines only about 135lbs! pretty light! small bike+lowered honda= not to hard! + i think it would look sick! just a idea? not diggin a ball and hitch!

Idk man, I have seen fixed gear bikes fall off a friends thule rack and it dented the hell out of his car. I could only imagine the damage a pit bike would cause if the rack happened to fail.

I would never put a motorcycle up on the roof of my car. It would be topheavy as hell and would probably dent the roof in if you weren't careful. A little trailer would be perfect.

yeah after sleepin on it i think i just might! anyone have a guess on how much and ball and hatch would cost??? im about to look into it! any one have one on a lowerd civic??? if so i would like to see pics!!! thanks guys for all the input!

for the money get a uhaul. it bolts up to the factory tow hook area. a lot better then some others that i've seen were you have to drill into your trunk.
now also don't for get, the tow hitch is only a class 1. so you won't be pulling anything bigger then a lawn mower, but i have seen guys pull a trailer with two 250cc dirt bikes.

Nice the CRX with the bike! I'm just not in the game with my sportrack for my mountain bike!
I suggest using a trailer or a ramp like on some RV’s with their scooter. I think it can be more useful than a trailer.
