How much can I use of an Accord
I have been in the fortunate position of buying the front end of an Accord
Type R. This included engine, transmission, wiring loom, ecu, driveshafts,
front disc's and calipers, suspension, shocks and power steering rack.
What I believe is missing for an transplant into a 94 Civic is exhaust downpipe,
2 into 1 and gearshift and cables.
I am basically researching any info I can lay my hands on in preparation for
the transplant but my immediate questions are as follows:
1. Can I use the driveshafts, maybe with a length mod?
2. Can I use the brakes, disc's and calipers?
3. What brakes can be used for the rear?
4. With the increased weight of the transplant will I need to uprate the
suspension further? I have already lowered the car 40mm and increased the
spring rate for a firmer ride.
5. Will the current fuel pump be man enough for the new injector
requirements and if not will a unit from an Accord or Prelude fit in the
Civic tank?
6. The donor Accord had ABS fitted, is it possible to convert the Civic to
ABS?
As you can see I am a complete novice at present but I do like to do things
properly and always research as much as I can before starting any project. I
would be grateful for any advise you can give whether through your own
experience or contacts/articles that may help.

Welcome to Honda-Tech.
You can get the shifter assembly and shift cables from a 94-97 Accord or 92-96 Prelude, there might be other years but I'm sure these will work. As for springs, depending on what you have it might work. I know Ground Control has come out with coilovers for Civics with spring rate for H22 swaps. But enough of my little tid bits, here is a great thread on the H22 into a Civic chassis. It has a lot of good information.

Re: How much can I use of an Accord (TouringAccord)
Thanks for the reply.
I have heard alot about Poison, he seems to be the man for a H22A swap.
The thread you ID'd has been a great help for the gearshift cable installation. I am now searching for info on the Accord brakes fitting to the Civic. I do want to stop at the end of the strip without the aid of a shute.
Thanks again.

no problem.
I'm not sure about the brakes fitting but if it don't work you could always use the brakes from a 94+ GSR or http://www.Fastbrakes.com has some nice kits.
