how much $$ would you...
i need some opinions on this, my first real step into the honda game:
i went out to look at a 94 cx hatch; b16a2 w/ gsr tranny, ihe, 95 gsr rims [curbed 2 hell] on ecsta supras, new paint (repainted teal, cant tell how good a job, seems aight) clean interior w/ teg seats and steering wheel, clean title and 150k on chassis, 50k on the motor. car looks great drives great, guys asking 6000 and says he wont budge much, i know him pretty well and hes got alot of people that can vouch for him/ aka wouldnt sell me a **** car. but still it seems kinda pricey, should i give it a shot or move on??
i might have put this in OT but trial members cant so minimum flame plz. thanks guys!

4500 sounds good, i wouldnt pay anymore then that. It sounds like the owner is trying to get back the money he put into the car which isnt going to happen. You will always lose money when selling a hooked up car.

Well let's see what he done to the car....
94 CX=$2000-4000
respray=$1000
B16a2 w'gsr tranny=2300-2500
gsr curbed wheels=100-200
Integra seats=300-500
I say $6k is decent...its not like you'll find a good deal every day!!
Plus people/owner done so much upgrades to their car already!
If you don like the price the own is asking for, you need to find an all stocker!!
I wont buy it simply because it a civic and cost $6K!! But if that's what you wants then go for it.

hatchingMN, like a lot of people say, you dont get the money back that you put out on a car. Id say 4500-5000 for it.

Just buy a stock one for $4K, and spend another $6K building it yourself!
or you could take this opportunity to save some money in the long run. If I could of done it all over again I would of bought a car with a swap to begin with.

My homeboy bought a car on H-T with everything you said (minus the motor) for 2k. The guy offered to sell him a B16 for 700 more but my friend didnt have enough.
Either way he would have spent under 3k. Yea i think thats a little pricey for being sold on the street.

I'm going to ask $5,000.00 for my fiancee's 1992 SI with B16A2 swap with all good bolt-ons, working A/c, moonroof, P/S, cruise, full clean interior, 100% perfect 15'' Rota C8's on good tires, etc.
Only thing our cars lacks is a good paintjob. Body is great with minor dings, and it could use a fresh coat of paint for the faded roof.
I think $6,000.00 is a ******* rip-off for what you described.
I'd rather pay $5,000.00 for this:

The fact is he doesn't wanna take too much of a bath... But he will, LOL!

yeah he's asking way too much. either way you look at it, it's still a 92 civic. look up kelley blue book for a 92 civic, then go from there.

I sold my stock engine'd 1992 Si hatch on steelies with only mods being KYB/AGX, coil-overs, and Tanabe exhaust for $5,000.00.
The guy wanted the car so bad he could taste it. It did have a super clean-*** paintjob (resprayed Flamenco Black Pearl) though with a super dent-free body too.
What'd I'D buy for is always different than what I'd sell for though.
With my fiancee's hatch going for $5,000.00 I figure it'll sell quickly. I'm sure we could probably get like $6,500.00 or more if we were patient or found someone who was dying for it.
Maybe we'll be patient...
