Hey really nice write up I was thinking of doing the k dezines rear seat delete but after seeing the ctr seats it makes me want to go that route. It looks hard but it seems straight forward(not to technical). Thanks for posting this!

I just finished doing this 5 minutes ago, today I received my itr rear seat in the mail and freaked out when it did not fit, was ready to start cutting away at the car, but decided to search and found this thread. Others made it seems like a direct fit but its far from being that.
the back rest was as easy to fab up as starting your engine, I did not even had any problem with the release buttons because I streched the fabrick over it to remove and install it. came out perfect. took me 30 minutes for both and I reused all my original hog ties.
now for seat cushion that was the hardest, the hardest was to remove the cover from the foam maybe its because I did not cut the ties. to remove and assemble took me 1.5 hour for the seat cusion came out perfect using all original hog ties .
car is 99 civic hatch. I would post pics but my wife is on vacation with the camera, and all I have is my i phone with no flash. will post pics when she come back.

I actually have 97-01 gsr rear seats in my 97 civic hatchback. Did the same thing this guy did in the thread. But I think im going to need the db8 rear bottom seats because they are thicker and longer for the sides.. but they are so hard to find. Do they make db8 leather seats?

In my case, I did it the ghetto way but it works... I just cut the outer rods from the ITR cushion and used tie wraps to hold it down

Is this the same thing that you need to do to get GSR rears to fit?
I may be buying some but i would like to know first.

I just thought i would post pictures up of this conversion so that everyone knows what to expect. This is the results of my itr swap in my 97 hatch. I followed this thread on my conversion very helpful on the backrest swaps.
Fronts went in easy you just have to either slot the whole on the rear inside rails or drill bracket of and extend in about 3/4 inch and weld back on.
The backs sit a little bit higher the the factory back rest. If this dont bug you then thats fine.
Here is the gap on the bottom cushion to the trim panel
This is the gap that i cannot live with. Its all the way across the entire cushion about an 1.5"
The contours are a little bit different too from backrest to trim panel
Ok here is what im going to do to mine just so all you guys know. Im NOt going to spend more money on a itr sedan rear cushion. Im going to take my car to the interior guy that does all of our hot rod interiors and have him cut these seats up so that they fit correctly. Im going to have him reupholster the bottom stock civic cushion to match the itr seats
