Please shut up and turn the god damn capslock off. Just because YOU think something is better doesn't mean it actually is or that everyone has to do it. Some ppl like the HX rims...they are very clean and subtle...also fairly light.
Good job Eric

Re: (BS 22)
Sorry to have to bring this thread back up from the dead. But I just did a GSR front/rear swap on my hatch, and found out the hard way that the HX wheels don't turn...lol
I have a question though, I was wondering if i were to shave down the front calipers like shown on this tutorial, would I have any problems? has anyone had any problems? I'm sort of concerned that if I shave it down, it may cause problems/fail to work in the future for heavy breaking.

Re: (D G A F)
when i got HX's for my 95 Civic EX i had to grind down the front calipers too. so it's not just GSR's and Si's. that **** was a pain in the ***! but at least it was free, cuz i just returned the grinder when i was done.
never any problem with brakes over heating or anything. but the car felt a lot quicker and more nimble after switching from those heavy *** 18 lb steelies. with the Omni sports coilovers, the car took corners like it was on rails.
HX's are the ****!

i have a 95 ex coupe also and just got my hands on a set of hxs and found out
when the people putin my tires on said it wouldnt spin so they told me to put a
wheel spacer on so i bought one (its 5/16) and they went to put them on and said
there wasnt enough stud left to be safe

Just picked up a set thats green w/ polished lip. They came off a 98HX and they won't fit on my 99EX. Still stock front brakes, anyone else have this problem? I thought it was only Si's?

wow.....old thread.....
-
Thats because ex (ej8) and si (em1) have the same front brakes, mc/bb
get 5mm spacers = problem solved without grinding down anything at all
